DESCRIPTION With six on-site synchronising gen-sets with mains paralleling to four incomers and bus tie paralleling, the need to avoid power failure led to a full review of the existing equipment. The first stage for ComAp Systems was to evaluate the hardware and software control requirements. The existing hardware failed to meet the new objectives and was replaced with standard ComAp equipment including six InteliSys, four InteliMain's and InteliProtec units. The ComAp Systems installation replaced the existing controllers on a like for like operating philoshophy, the installation was carried out with minimum power disturbances and no effect to business. The result: A cost effective answer to a complex installation.
